Are you already an annual member of the Friends of Ontario City Library, and want to volunteer? We have plenty of opportunities!
We are always looking for regular weekly volunteers in the FOCL bookstore at both Ovitt and Lewis branches. Volunteers must be 18+ years of age, and must be able to pass a background check.
If you are unable to commit to regular volunteering, but are interested in volunteering with the Board for fundraising and special events, please contact us via email at oclvolunteers@ontarioca.gov to learn more about volunteer opportunities.
Bookstore Volunteers
We currently have 3 positions available for Bookstore volunteers:
- Bookstore Operations Volunteer
- Bookstore Patron Assistance Volunteer (Ovitt Only)
- Online Bookstore Sales Assistant
Volunteers must be able to commit a minimum of 2 hours per month, but 2 hours per week is highly preferred given the volume of tasks needed to be performed. Short term commitments are welcome. Flexible hours are available depending on the hours of the Ontario City Library location. Volunteers are accepted at both Ovitt and Lewis branches.
Detailed roles and responsibilities are available in the document below. You can apply to become a volunteer through the City of Ontario’s GovernmentJobs site. Contact us at focl22@hotmail.com for more information.
